Summary:

Villanova University's Special Collections contans a significant number of primary and secondary sources related to the Great War.  Collection strengths include:  pro-German English language newspapers; other German-language newspapers; materials related to Sir Richard Casement; Ireland in the war; the Easter Rising; Joseph McGarrity and the funding of the Irish Rebellion; postcards; scrapbooks; and popular and children's literature about the war.  

Villanova University's Digital Library provides fulltext access to many of the above materials.  In addition, the Digital Library has digitized and hosts a significant number of Great War materials from institutional Digital Partners as well as specific digital donations from individuals.  Most materials are available under a Creative Commons License.
